Workshops

FOMU to Flow for Teams

A three-part workshop series that helps teams, ERGs and groups interrupt the Fear of Messing Up — together.

  • 3 sessions
  • 90 minutes to 2 hours each
  • In person, virtual or hybrid

If one person loses 5 hours a week to FOMU, that's 6.5 work weeks a year.

Now multiply that by your team.

Why a series, not a one-off

A keynote names the pattern. A series gives people time to notice it in real work between sessions, try something different, and come back to talk about it.

The three sessions

  1. 1

    Name It

    The Fear

People map how FOMU shows up before a mistake: the overthinking, the rewrites, the ideas that never get said. They shift from judgment to curiosity.

  2. 2

    Own It

    The Mistake

The group separates what actually happened from the story told about it — and owns mistakes without blame or punishment.

  3. 3

    Trust It

    The Recovery

The part most programs skip. People shorten the spiral after a mistake, so they're ready to try again.

Who it's for

Established teams, ERGs, university programs, and professional communities.

What we aim to change

  • People catch the pattern in real time and have shared language for it.
  • Mistakes get talked about sooner, with less blame.
  • Less time lost to overthinking, and more room for new ideas.

From the individual FOMU to Flow program

  • Participant 3: 8 hours before, 2 hours after.
  • Participant 4: 8 hours before, 4 hours after.

Self-reported by four participants in two small groups. Not a guarantee.

“My fear has been transformed into hope. I feel like I'm back in the driver's seat of my own life.”

“I was completely unaware of the complex architecture I had constructed within all aspects of my life in response to my Fear of Messing Up… I was equipped with the tools and awareness that would enable me to dismantle and deconstruct, down to foundation level and beyond, what has been holding me back.”
Previous FOMU to Flow participant
“The program really helped me unpack some past career moments that have kept me stuck for years. I completed the program feeling super empowered and excited to continue building my solo consulting business, unencumbered by the past.”
